Alpha testing is testing of an application when development
is nearley completed and smaller design changes are still
to be made as a result of such testing.It is done by
Customer in Developer environment.
Beta testing is testing of an application when development
and testing are essentilayy completed.It is done by
customer in real time environment

If you are handling a product testing and if there are around 100 test cases and in them few test cases are failed then at the end of the day how will you treat whether the product is pass/fail.? consider the failed test cases are in functional requirements.
