Ac means Alternating current which is changing always with respect to time. .D.C means Direct currentwhich is not changing always with respect to time.
A/c having many losses like corona, ferranti effect during transmission. .In A/c transmission cost is high bcoz it emoploys with large trfrs. D.c is better for low loss transmission. . .In D.c there no P.F. also
