There are many types of dimensions

conformed dimesion:
the dimension which are maintain the relation ship between
two are more fact table are called conformed dimension.


eg: galaxy schema
shrunk dimesion:

the dimnesion which does not maintain the direct relation to
fact table is called shrunk dimesion

junk dimesion:

the dimesion which are maintain the relation ship low
coradinality values is called junk dimension

eg: the dimsion apply on dimesion gender

rolepaly dimesion:

the dimesion which are occred more than two dimension tables
are called rolepaly dimension

eg: time appear frequently all dimension tabsles
dirt dimesoion:

the dimesion which are already occred in the fact table
but again apper with version change those dimension are
called dirty dimesion

eg: SCD2
