actually i don't understand what you actually want to ask in
this question...
there are any reasons because of which the excotor coil
fails in alternator
i)due to earth fault in excitor winding.
ii)due to short circuit of two or more turns.
iii)due to insufficient exciting current.
and some more...
i don't know whether i have given the thing you want in
this question or not........
