without update strategy how to insert &update?

First you create the mapping according to your requirement
after that you create session.
Double click the session and then select properties tab in
the properties tab choose Target Rows Source as what do you
want (Insert, update,delete, Datadriven(this is only when
your using update stratogy transformation in the mapping)).
