The load taken by a cable depends on
1. The equipments to which the cable is supplying
(Considering worst conditions for eg. Single feeding)
2. The area in which the cable is placed. That is the
tempreature derating factor
3. The other derating factors like for keeping a cable in a
trench or open air etc. shall be considered.
Multiplying these derating factors by the cable current
Ampacity( Current carrying capacity of cable) you can get
actual current which can be carried by cable.
Multiplying this 'actual current' with voltage gives you
the Load that can be caried by a particular cable.
