There are two types of companies project based company and
product based .Product based companies develops product
such as they are generic not particular to a particular
customer.for an example Oracle or Microsoft it develops
product and markets.Ex: MS-Office is product. It is generic
in nature
Project based companies are generally service based
companies i..e they particulary develop software for a
particular client.
Ex: Developing software for ICICI bank
