what is the difference b/w single and three phase circuits?
Answer Posted / power team
* Power Consumption is less in case of Three Phase Circuit
(P= sqrt of 3 * Vph * Iph * PF)where as in single phase
circuit, power consumption is more(P= Vp * Ip *PF)
* Efficiency is much better in 3Ph circuit than 1Ph circuit
* Cost of transmission is high in 3Ph circuit
* Voltage regulation is better in 1Ph
* 3Ph circuits are widely used by Industrial HT consumers
