WHAT IS EDDY CURRENT LOSS?
WHAT IS HYSTERESIS LOSS?
Answer Posted / raj
hysteresis loss: some material had character like keep
storing magnetic enery in that. so loss of flux will occur.
this is hysteresis. this can be neglect by using silicon
steel.having high permiability.
eddy loss: current flows in metal creats its own flux and
crets a emf in it. this is back emf or eddy current .this is
due to main flux , this new back emf produses the flux and
oppose the main flux. hence loss occur.
this can be overcome by proper lamination.
