mainly there are three (3) types of cable used in LAN :
i) Twisted Pair
it has another two type : 1) Shilded (STP) &
2) Unshelded (UTP):- it has
two(2)type : Cross & Straight.
ii) Coaxial
and
iii)Fiber Optic
