induction motor is electrical machine which convert
electrical power to mechanical power .same like transformer
primery and secondry winding.stator is primery and rotor is
secondry winding.when you give the electrical power to
stator it produced free rotating flux in between air gap.

In Indian Household, generally we receive 220V AC single phase supply. But AC has 2 phases, +ve & -ve. So in +ve half cycle current is flowing...so what happens in the -ve half cycle?? Please illustrate.
