What is the formula to calculate the KVAR value of a
capacitor, while value of capcitor in farads is known.

Answer Posted / ankamsreekar

VAR = V*I*SIN(pi)
WHERE SIN(pi) = 1 since pi=90 approx since I capacitive
current is 90 to voltage applied.
so
VAR = V*I

here I is capacitive current

I = V/X
X is capacitive reactance

X= 1/(2*pi*f*C)

so I=V * (2*pi*f*C)

VAR = V*V * (2*pi*f*C)

from above eq we can calculate VAR from given C in farads
