What is min and max voltage between earth and neutral/phase
if it perfect earthing?
Answer Posted / abdul gafar
most of the 3-phase stepdown distribution transformers
manufactured in india are 11KV/433v. assuming that the the
voltages are measured at LT Side of the transformer and
earthing is perfect ( i.e. when meggered with 500v megger
the resistance offered by the earth is zero)then,
earth to neutral= Zero
any one Phase to earth= 250V
& any one Phase to neutral=250
(the value 250 is arrived from the fact that the voltage
from phase to Phase is equal to 1.732 times that of the
voltage between phase to neutral)
