To my surprise,my visa interview was too short and shocking. I had 1310 in gre and 109 in toefl. I completed BE in Elect and comm with 75% in 2007 and had been working in a multinational software company since then. i applied for masters in elect and comm in Lamar university with 60% fee waiver.. here goes the interview VO:( took my documents) how many universities??(raising his eyebrow) Me:2 VO: Looking at me with questioning eyes? Me: Lamar university, Texas and Cleveland State University, Ohio. VO: Why did u apply for Cleveland University? Me: This is a good university, i got good reviews about this university from online forums and communities and it was offering me right courses in computer networking along with other courses in Electrical Engineering..... VO: Interrupted... it is not a very high ranking university, how can u say its a good university? Me: Ranking of the university was not my sole criteria... VO: Interrupted... ohh!!! (sarcastically) what was your criteria? Me: I focused on the department and the courses that were being offered.. Moreover, I got good feedback.... VO: Go.. Me: ok. can u give me the reason? VO: next one come.. I don't understand what went wrong?

Hi, I have a L1B filed by my employer which is valid till 10/10/10. I quit my employer few months back and the L1B is not valid. I am planning to take up Higher studies in US and apply for F1 Student visa. I am concerned that being in India, will I be able to apply for F1 with L1B valid till 10/10? I believe i need to cancel the L1B and I am wondering how to proceed with the cancellation. Please advise!

I have been admitted to the MBA program in a US university.I was not asked to appear for the GMAT as they told me that people having Masters or JD can apply without GMAT.(I have both) Now my question is- Will I be asked to show my GMAT score when I go for an F1 interview? And can this lead to d denial of my visa?

I wish to do my graduate studies in one of the us universities in the field of computer science starting Fall 2010 and am waiting admission information from 1-2 univs. Two years back, I had attempted for H1-B visa which was put on hold. Subsequently since I got a good job in India, I did not pursue H1-B visa. Now I wish to continue with my studies after getting some job experience. My problem What shoudl I write in the DS-160 column asking: Whether you had applied for US visa earlier, if so what is the result. Whether I should write: applied for H1-B visa but put on hold or applied for H1-B visa, denied. Whether this will come in the way of my securing F-1 visa now? Hello, i am Suraj. I got rejected on my ineterview on december 8th and have again taken the date for 17th.During my interview a guy quarreled with the interview taking person and then the same girl took my interview. My all documents are upto date bank balance is enough,self property is good,watevr she asked i told her fluently but also she rejected telling me that ma income source is not enough. I dont understand why i got rejected. The friends who had taken the interveiw along with me got selected though their family background is more poor than mine. i am afraid i will get rejected again.
