why not maintain 7.0 ph in boiler ,when 7.0 is not acidic &
not basic so why maintain 9+ ph?

HIGH PH LEVEL IS MAINTAINED BECAUSE THE FEED WATER MAY
CONTAIN SOME SALT FORMING CHEMICALS. BY MAINTAINING HIGH PH
IT WILL CONVERT THAT SALTS INTO SOME SLAGS THIS WILL BE
REMOVED THROUGH CENTRAL BLOW DOWN LINE IN THE DRUM.
