take the ages one year back as 6X and 7X
at present their ages are 6X+1 and 7X+1
after 4 years from now their ages will be 6X+5 and 7X+5
then (6X+5)/(7X+5)=7/8
=> 48X+40=49X+35
=> X=5
now sachin's age is 7x5+1=36
