how to install Differential pressure transmitter in gas
line.i need transmitter down side.

Answer Posted / www.islamqa.com

Bharathi is right, we have to use "condensation pot"

# Actually the gas is "self venting" and the instrument
mounting should be above the pipeline in order to avoid
vapor condensation which cuase fault reading.

# For liquid service the instrument mounting should be
below the pipeline as the liquid is "self draining".

# If we want to mount the instrument below the pipeline in
gas service we should use "condensation pot" and the
operator should drain it regularly to avoid fault reading.

# In steam service we use the condensation pot also and it
should be fully filled with water and its mounting should
be in the same pipeline level and the instrument itself
will be below the pipeline, this link indicte the situation:

the aim of water filling is to provide a solid motion
transfer in order to have a good accuracy.

We Have Two Field bus Pressure Transmitters of Different Sensor Range (I.E One is of Lower range and Another is of Higher Range). Is same Process Line. My Question is Can i provide Saturation Limit to my field Bus Transmitter as We can provide Saturation current limit to HART Instruments. As During Low Pressure Both Working OK ,But During High Pressure, transmitter with Lower sensor range Goes to Fault mode as Beyond its Sensor Limit it can Measure, So may I provide Saturation point Some where to Suppress This Fault during High Pressure.
