When we getting shock, its we getting from voltage or
Current.
Answer Posted / loboreliance2003
We get shock due to voltage and this voltage should be
higher than 110v. Lesser than 110v mostly we dont feel any
shock. But only above 50mA current flowing is sufficient
for the body to feel the shock. Hence ELCBs are 30mA
because if 500mA flows through the body then heart will
begin to vibrate and could lead to death. So we can
conclude that voltage higher than 110V and currents higher
than 50mA are cause for shock.Amount of Current flow
through the body is due to amount of body resistance of
the individual. This varies from person to person and also
this changes if body skin is dry or wet. Wet body then
shock is more severe.
