Why r used of cable 50sq.mm and above size cable in 3.5 core. And below size in 4 core ? any technical reason please explain it

3.5sqmm means the neutral conductor dia will be half of the
main conductor (mechanically weak). In 4 core cables, by
matching phase conductor dia for neutral conductor,
mechanical strength is maintained.
