Bug life cycle:
These are the following possible paths:
1. open - assigned - fixed - closed
2. open - rejected - closed
3. open - assigned - fixed - reopen - assigned - fixed -
closed
4. open - deferred
below will explain you more on the above:
open - initial state of the bug once raised by the tester
assigned - bug is assigned to the concerned developer by
the developer lead.
fixed - after bug is fixed by the developer
closed - tester closes the bug if the bug is fixed after
retesting.
reopened - bug is still existing after fixing by the
developer.
rejected - bug is rejected by the developer, as it is not a
bug.
deferred - bug is valid, but developers are not fixing it
in the current build or not planning to fix now.
