why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac
Answer Posted / ramesh r
hi all...
i cud see the most people are asking this question..
since i got working experience in siemens ..i would like to
share the things...v used to check with ac n dc testing...
theoretically whoever have said abt ac n dc were right...
but practically its different ..v never cared abt 220v
dc..even u can touch positive or negative (not both) nothing
will happen...
but v people would feel fear while testing ac..coz if u
touch any of the wire..u will get shock for sure...n
difference between ac n dc shocks are...when u get shock in
ac ur body will vibrate like anything due to frequency..that
wil make u sick n die...
in dc ur body will not vibrate as there is no frequency...
but u feel shock(i got shock many times in dc)....
advantage over ac is dc will give u time to release from the
shock...that is..its upto ur control(when u go its
control..u cant coz of no freq)...but ac will not give u
time to release...it is not in ur control until otherwise u
pull ur hand forcely(that too some extent)...
please dont say once current comes to zero or negative so it
will leave n all....ur point is right for 1 Hz ..when it
comes to 50Hz in sec...u cant...
both r dangerous...but AC is little bit more.....
