how many types of accuracy class in ct? what is meaning of
5p20?
Answer Posted / ashwini kumar
generally two type of accuracy class 5P and 10P.Here, 5P
indicates that this is the protection type of CT with
composite error of <5% at rated accuracy limit primary
current & 20 is the rated accuracy limit factor (RALF) for
the C.T. i.e. overcurrent = 10*nominal current.
[RALF is the primary current up to which the CT is required
to maintain its specified accuracy with rated secondary
burden connected expressed as a multiple of rated primary
current.]
