1) It is process oriented
2) Also called as in-process testing or Verification
3) Preventive method
4) It involves Audits, Inspections
5) Its checking whether we are building product right
QC (Quality Control)
1) It is product oriented
2) Also called as End-process testing or Validation
3) Curing or actual testing
4) Involves meetings, actual testing
5) Its checking whether we are building right product

You must test a trouble report where the problem cannot be reproduced. You tried using various test data files and mutations from the data files the customer sent along with the trouble report. The software does not fail the way it did at the customer's site.
