7. What are tri-state devices and why they are
essential in a bus oriented system
Answer Posted / jobby c johnson
let me explain with a device called tri state buffer. it
has threee terminals. inline, enable line, outline.
its working is when enanble line is active output line
follows input line. but if it is not activated then output
line is free.
now how it helps in bus oriented system. consider two
buffers working on inverted logic . two buffers are
recieving differant inputs and the output of two buffers
are connected to same bus. with the help of enabling and
disabling enable line of two buffers we can selectivly
allow one of the input int the bus

I was working on calibrating turbidity transmitters endress+hauser at effluent polishing plant. We calibrated using NTU buffers. What happened is that when we immersed the sensor, everytime we raise and lower the sensor gradually, the reading will vary.my question is that is there any specifications on what is the required distance from the bottom of the container with buffer to the face of the sensor? Is it ok to install the sensor in a medium which has turbulence specially if bubbles are present?
