What is the DIfferences between SMART transmitters and
PROFIBUS DP/PA Transmitters?
Answer Posted / er.shah rahul
Basically, smart transmitters are used for sensing the
analog signal then, smart transmitter digitalized it & give
it range& adjustment.it corrects it by many factor.it is
used only in non hazardous area.this is continuous sensing.
apart from that,PROFIBUS DP is decentralised periphery
used in non-hazardous area & PROFIBUS PA is process
automation used in hazardous area. They is joined through
coupler.PLC Periodically receives data as a packet.
