KW= HPx746
where as KVA=HPx746/Power factor,
For example: If 100 Hp Motor needs generator
100HPx746/0.5 to 0.9.

Practical condition in 400KV Sub station:- Breaker(open) , isolator(open), Earthing (close) at both end e.g A & B.
