It is an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transister,It is a three
terminal semiconductor device and it has high current
carrying capacity and low heat dessipation. It operates in
the medium and higher range of ampere.It is used in Pwer
electronics,specially in Variable Speed Drive used in the
Oil fields for cotrolling Electrically submersible Pumps.
