what is difference between microprocessor and microcontroller ?
Answer Posted / ran145
Micro controller has on chip memory (i.e. RAM and ROM) and
I/O ports whereas in microprocessor memory and I/O ports has
to be connected externally . Despite of all disadvantages,
microprocessor has 1 major advantage over micro controller
i.e. memory in microprocessor is expandable whereas memory
in micro controller is limited , that's why in our PC we use
microprocessor and not microcontroller.
