There are much more similarities between base and
nucleophile.Base attacks at more acidic protons while
nucleophile attaks at electron deficient carbon.
e.g. LDA--- Base
OH- Nucleophile as well as a base.
Nucleophile may also act as a base but at some conditions.
Bases attack at more acidic protons while Nucleophiles
attack at electron deficient atoms.
Generally, stronger base acts as weaker nucleophile and
weaker base acts as strong nucleophile.
eg
aq. KOH acts as base
and alco. KOH act as nucleophile
