all the surface which is exposed to flue gas/ flue gas path,
only condition is that heat transfer takes place between
feed water/ steam and flue gases. flue gas ducting is not
considered as heating surface even thought it is exposed to
flue gases.
in simple terms the surface helpful to transfer combustion
heat to water/steam
