What is effect of power factor on change in voltage
Answer Posted / maiden
PF = P/S
where P is True power in W and S is apparent power in VA. We
know that P = VI*cos(Phi) and S = VI so PF = VI*cos(Phi)/VI
It can be clearly seen that a change in voltage would affect
equally the P and S canceling any effect. What affects the
PF is the phase relationship between the voltage and the
current.
