Difference between Training and Development?

Training is more specific to job related information.
whereas development is more general in nature specially at
top management level.
Training is less frequent and less expensive.
but Development is more frequent and more expensive.
Training is mostly imparted by superiors
And Development is undertaken by superiors or outside
experts.
