What is C-factor?why it is required to consider in fault
short circuit calculations?
Answer Posted / omar aziz
The c-factor or the K-factor is a multiplier factor that is
considered to give the transient peak of the short circuit
current calculation. With time this transient factor
diminishes as the current decays to a steady peak which is
also reffered to as asymetrical fault current
