Uhmm, although I came upon this forum a bit late, I think,
I'd have to say that I chose Yudhisthira.
Yes, HE is (for me) the hero for renouncing the tranquility
of Indra's Merru because of his dog (ie, Dharma in disguise)
whom he didn't want to leave behind (ie, the dog being
"impure" and all that), first hand! However, I only read the
so-called "pocket version", thus I remain somehow *in doubt*
as to *what* had happened with Yudhisthira from that point
on (ie, after *reluctantly* accepting - afterward, cursing
the trickery of - Indra AND Dharma), when he found himself
in Svarga... I mean, what happened to his curse? Did it had
any effect on the gods present there, he himself being a
newly-made/accepted god? So, even if, as the official
variant says, Krishna, for his (eg, Siddatta-like)
super-tranquility, managed to become THE hero of the epic,..
I can't chose him. :-)
