Cognos 8 has three tier architects which separated like
• Web Server
• Applications
• Data
These tiers Separated by firewalls
• web server: - It is the Cognos Gateway by default CGI
default gateway
• Applications: - It has content manager and dispatcher
• Data: - It has query database
