DOES A MAGNETIC CIRCUIT CONSUMES ENERGY? IF YES, WHY?
Answer Posted / sudheer
Inductor does not consume energy but it stores energy in
form of magnetic field. But magnetic circuit consumes energy.
EX:TRANSFORMER.The magnetising current component and no
load loss component which are necessary for operation of
transformer causes some power loss given by (current)*
(voltage)*p.f
