what is mean by 32 and 64 bit appplication

Answer Posted / shashi

Above answers are correct adding to this.
32-bit means length of addressing is 32 bits
64-bit means length of addressing is 64 bits
in the processor.

Most of recent systems are 64 bit processors but
in the IT Industry the application software's available
are 32-bit. Hence we use to install always 32-bit
Operating system. So Win XP 32-bit is popular in this regard.

Of-course 64 bit is fast compared to 32-bit, double the
addressing structure. Therefore 64-bit is usually used
for Server Operating Systems. Because good performance
and efficiency.

Hope my answer is correct.....!!
