LAs are installed on the highest point of the
installations.Like on the switchyard,substations.It is
installed on each R,Y B phases on the primary side of the
power transformrs.LAs directly discharges heavy currents
produced due to lightening to the ground thru heavy copper
strips.this prevents heavy damages to CTs,PTs and other
metering equipments.
