keep 2 terminals of the capacitor in the socket of single
phase for some time and then short the two terminals of it,
if spark appears its in working condition otherwise not working.

PLEASE TELL US AT WHAT LOAD LOSS AND % IMPEDANCE IT SHOULD BE DESIGNED FOR 16 MVA AND WHAT WILL BE ITS EFFICIENCY AT 20 MVA?
