generally tappings are provided on the HV side because on
the HV side of the transformer less current is flowing so
that whenever we change from one tapping to another less arc
will created as compared to LV side.Also due to less current better insulation can be provided.

What is current & voltage ? Voltage perform at any load without current or not?
