Developers compile the code they write. That is a kind of
testing!! Which category it belongs to in Testing.
Static testing or Dynamic testing.

It is called dynamic testing,because here is the code is
excuted so it come in the dynamic testing.
If developer write the code and verify the code without
excution called as static testing.

If you are handling a product testing and if there are around 100 test cases and in them few test cases are failed then at the end of the day how will you treat whether the product is pass/fail.? consider the failed test cases are in functional requirements.
