there are a transformer and a motor. both are connected to
3phase, 415 Volt, 50Hz power supply. Both are working with
induction principles. Then, why, motor is rotating and
transformer is not rotating.

Even though both works on the same mutual induction
principle,but transformer is a static m/c where as
induction motor is rotating m/c because Indution motors
having rotating magnetic field.
But in the case of T/F, magnetic field generated is satatic
no change in frequency of potential applied, to T/F.
so there is no chance of rotation of T/F.
