Basically, finance manager is a fund manager. He should
accommodate for the short term financial needs i.e. working
capital as well as long term financial needs i.e. term loans
of the organisation whether by way of external sourcing from
banks/financial instituations or internal sourcing i.e.
issue of shares and debentures. He is also responsible and
should ensure that funds are properly utilized by
implementing internal controls with in the
organisation.Also, if required he needs to suggest the
management on the feasibility/profitability of
expansations/new projects within the business or
investiments outside the business/non-operating
activities.Also responsible for time to time analysing the
performance of business and suggest the ways to the
management about the increase in profitabity/cost reductions.
