What is expansion of SMART Instruments? And What is it?
Answer Posted / somasundaram . d
a). SMART - single modular auto ranging transmission.
b). SMART - self monitoring analysis reporting technology.
the definition as per a). is for wireless communication,
b). is related with the hard disk of the PC.
As such there is no definition for the SMART instrument,
they are nothing but the micro processor based transmitter
both works in analog and digital which has the diagnostics
feature and can transmit the digital information over the
analog signal using protocols like HART. hence the
instrument is smart instrument (marketing term like smart
car, smart oven etc).
