how to calculate the required qantities of cement, Sand and
aggrigate to prepare 1 Cum of concrete mix 1:2:4
Answer Posted / er.puspak kumar sahu
concrete ratio=1:2:4
area=1cum
1+52%=1.52cum(add the extra 52% for dry material)
cement=1.52/(1+2+4)=0.217cum=(0.217/0.035)=6.2bags
(per bag cement volume=0.035cum)
sand=1.52/2=0.76cum=(0.76/0.028)=27.14cft
(0.028 is a conversion factor)
aggrigate=1.52/4=0.38cum=(0.38/0.028)=13.57cft
(0.028 is a conversion factor)
finaly=
cement use in per 1 cum=6.2bags
sand use in per 1 cum=27.14cft
aggrigate use in per 1 cum=13.57cft
