what is the use of commutator in dc motor if we supply ac ? commutator is used to convert ac to dc.and it is used to arrange the flux in unidirectional in case of dc supply. if we give ac as supply to dc motor what is the use of commutator?

A double circuit with dog conductor 66KV Transmission line from wind farm evacuation to feeding substation having capacity of 25MW for transmission. Can same transmission network be considered for further expansion of Power & how much in MW. If we need to expand next 10-15 MW more will there any augmentation is required in transmission network? In a power conditoining unit (inverter) of a solar plant when we measure the d.c. current fed by different strings of solar plates to inverter, the current in the negative wire is less almost by 1 ampere to the current in its positive wire say current in positive wire 5 A , then current in negative wire of the same string is 4 A. Since the current entering should be equal to current leaving then why the current is noticably less in negative wire.
