The temp. at which the vapoure pressure of liquid is equal
to the atmospheric pressure is called boiling point.
when a liquid is heated steadily its temp. goes on rising
side by side its vapour pressure goes on increasing untill
it become equal to the atmospheric pressure. At this stage
evaporate boiling of liquid sets in and its temp. does'nt
rise any further untill the entire liquid evaporates.
