During any fault in an electrical system, voltage and
frequency will reduce and the generating station will try
to recover through Auotmatic Voltage regulation system and
Speed Governor control. The system disturbance depends upon
the magnitude of fault, area where the fault is occured and
the time taken to trip through protection relays. In the
meantime if we can throw out some non critical loads the
recovery and system normalisation will be fast and the
remaining loads will be on safe. Hence we provide load
shedding arrangement through a frequency relay with
different stages of frequency setting. Non critical loads
will connect to the first stage ( for example if the normal
frequency is 50 HZ the first stage setting can be 49.8HZ,
2nd stage 49.5, third stage 49.2 etc;) then the next
prioriy of loads to 2nd stage and the next to 3rd stage.
The settings are done as per the electrical system study.

calculate external resistance values to add to the rotor of a slip ring induction motor. STATOR- 415 V, 3 phase delta, 1100 A, 50 Hz, 1490 rpm, pf 0,86 ROTOR - 660 V, 590 A, 50 Hz. STATOR current at each steps STEP1-600A,STEP2- 800A,STEP3-1000A,STEP4-1100A.
in a solar power plant,we are going to step up the voltage 350V to 33kv, and to 132kv GSS. i want to ask that if it is possible that 315v/33kv is not possible because we also use 315v/11kv. or it should be 415v/33kv? is it effects generation or losses? the second question is-generation is depends on LV winding? or LV winding design for generation voltage?
