why gravels is used in transformer yard?

Answer Posted / s.karthik

The gravels mainly serves two purposes,

coz of which the complete apparatus vibrates, the poured
gravel absorbs these vibrations.

Secondly, the gravels provides a good earthing path for the
transformer.
