explain latch and flip flops

Answer Posted / arpit

Latch and FF both can have a clock.
But basic difference is that,in FF when clk is high whatever
the value at input will be at output for that complete clk
cycle.
For FF:
For ex when clk = 1(i.e high) & i/p = 1;Then o/p will stay
at 1 for that whole cycle whether there is a change in input
during the whole cycle or not,the o/p will be always 1 for
that particular clk cycle.

But for Latch:
For ex when clk = 1(i.e high).
During the high clk, o/p will always follow the i/p.
Whatever may be the change at i/p will get reflected in o/p
during high pulse of the clk.
And that is really true.
